Ron Orris, who set MSUs 100 fly school record in 1994, won the U.S. Masters Championship in the 100 fly. 5/7/08
Spartan Swimming Alumni Claim U.S. Masters National Championships
Two Michigan State swimming alumni captured titles at the U.S. Masters Short Course Championships. Kirk Nelson '92 won the 35-39 age group mile free championship and Ron Orris '94 won the 100 fly title, also in the 35-39 age group. The U.S. Masters event was held in Austin, Texas, on May 4-5.

MSU Swimming Announces 2007-08 Awards
Senior Adam Schmitt and junior Heather Kiluk were named the men's and women's swimmers of the year, respectively, at the Michigan State swimming & diving awards banquet Sunday, April 13. Sophomore Ivan Zalessov and junior Danielle Williams were honored as the team's divers of the year. In all, 10 Spartan swimmers and four divers were recognized.
 
Junior Heather Kiluk was named MSUs Womens Swimmer of the Year at the teams postseason banquet. Senior Adam Schmitt was the Mens Swimmer of the Year.
Kevin Puskaric has qualified for the Olympic Trials in both breaststroke events. 4/5/08
Puskaric Places Sixth In 200 Breast At Toyota Grand Prix
MSU freshman Kevin Puskaric added to his already impressive weekend at the Toyota Grand Prix by placing sixth in the 200 breast Saturday at Ohio State's McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The Mokena, Ill., native placed ninth in the 100 breast just one day earlier. His performances in both breaststroke events are good enough to qualify for the Olympic Trials.

Puskaric Places Ninth In 100 Breast At Grand Prix
Michigan State freshman Kevin Puskaric turned in an outstanding showing Friday at the Toyota Grand Prix swim meet at Ohio State's McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Puskaric placed ninth in the 100 breast finals with a time of 1:04.31, good enough to punch his ticket to the Olympic Trials later this spring.

MSU Diver Danielle Williams Qualifies For Canada Olympic Trials
Michigan State junior diver Danielle Williams (Dorchester, Ontario) has been named as one of 14 competitors for the three-meter diving event at the Canadian Olympic Trials, which will take place June 20-22 in Victoria, British Columbia.

Williams, Garry Lead The Way On Second Day Of Zones
Junior Danielle Williams and sophomore David Garry each advanced to the finals in the second day of the Zones Regional Championships Saturday at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion at Ohio State. Williams placed 14th in women's three-meter diving with a score of 503.50, while Garry finished 19th with a total of 531.40.

Three Of Four Spartan Divers Make Zones Finals
Three of four Michigan State divers advanced to the final round of the Zone Regional Championships Friday afternoon at Ohio State's McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Junior Danielle Williams placed 15th in women's one-meter diving, while sophomores David Garry (17th) and Ivan Zalessov (18th) each advanced to the three-meter diving finals.

MSU Divers Set To Compete At Zones Championships
Four Michigan State divers will compete in the NCAA Diving Zones Championships this weekend at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion at Ohio State. The four Spartans - Danielle Williams, Alycia Mokedanz, David Garry and Ivan Zalessov - have one goal in mind: to make it to the finals and battle for a spot in the NCAA Championships.

MSU Diver Danielle Williams Places Fourth At Canada Senior Nationals
Michigan State junior diver Danielle Williams staked her claim as one of Canada's best women's divers by finishing in the top 10 at the Canada Senior Nationals March 6-9. Williams finished fourth in one-meter diving and ninth in three-meter diving, giving her a strong chance of qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Diving Trials.
