2006-07 (Sophomore): Named to both the Frozen Four and NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament Teams after pacing the Spartans with three goals and three assists in four games ... With all three of his goals coming on the power play, he led all NCAA tournament scorers in power-play goals, and was tied for third in overall goals ... Also led the Spartans in overall postseason scoring with 5-5-10 totals ... One of just four skaters to appear in all 42 games for the Spartans ... Finished first on the team in scoring (43 points), and assists (25) ... Was also tops in power-play goals (10) and man-advantage points (21) ... Second on the team with 18 goals ... 2005-06 (Freshman): Appeared in 29 games, scoring four goals and adding 15 assists for 19 points ... Missed 16 games in the first half of the season after suffering a hand injury ... Ranked ninth among CCHA rookies in scoring ... Earned Honorable Mention kudos on the CCHA All-Rookie Team ... Tallied his first collegiate goal at 4:17 of the first period in the 3-3 tie against Michigan (10/22), and later added his first assist on Tim Crowder's second-period tally ... Returned to the lineup after missing 16 games in 3-2 overtime victory in the GLI semifinal against Michigan Tech (12/29) ... Contributed an assist on Jared Nightingale's goal at 8:54 of the third period in a 3-1 win over Wayne State (1/6) ... Collected his first game-winning goal as a collegian at 11:55 of the first period in 4-0 victory over Alaska Fairbanks (1/13). Added an assist on Crowder's goal at 5:47 of the third period for his second career multiple-point game ... Registered points in consecutive games for the first time by contributing an assist to both Spartan goals in 2-1 win over the Nanooks (1/14) ... Posted the sixth assist of his career with a helper on Ethan Graham's goal against UNO (1/21) ... Notched his fourth multiple-point game with a goal and an assist against Notre Dame (2/4) ... Scored MSU's second goal in the 4-3 victory at Ohio State (2/9) ... Assisted on Crowder's second-period power play strike against UAF (3/11) in the CCHA Quarterfinals ... Tallied a pair of assists in the series-clinching victory (7-4) over the Nanooks (3/12) ... Assisted on Crowder's game-winning tally in a dramatic 1-0 victory over New Hampshire in the first round of the NCAA Tournament ... PRIOR TO MSU: Selected by the Washington Capitals in the sixth round (No. 181 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, but his rights have since been traded to his hometown Sabres ... Spent two seasons (2003-05) with the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League ... Paced team in scoring with 61 points (30 goals, 31 assists) in 54 games in 2004-05 ... His 61 points placed him tied for sixth among the USHL scoring leaders ... Had seven power-play goals, three shorthanded markers and seven game-winners among his 30 goals ...
