Ed Gunter Position: Rigger Experience: First season

Edward (Ed) Gunter is in his first season with Michigan State.

Gunter brings 12 years of rowing experience to the program and is currently an Advanced Level USRA Coach.

Prior to joining the program, Gunter worked at the Augusta Rowing Club, Inc. in Augusta, Ga., rising through a variety of roles from novice to assistant coach to head coach and manager. Additionally, Gunter has served as a licensed referee, and has served as a director on several regatta boards at local and regional levels.

Gunter earned a Master's Degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from Augusta State University in 2002, and his primary focus will be managing the boathouse and matching equipment to the specific needs of the team.
