Iowa and Michigan State advanced to the Grand Final in the Second Novice Eight. Michigan captured Heat 1 of the First Varsity Four. Michigan edged out Minnesota and Iowa in Heat 1 of the First Varsity Eight.

Michigan captured Heat 2 in the Second Varsity Eight with a time of 6:41.6. Michigan State is shown here in Heat 2 of the First Varsity Eight. Ohio State captured Heat 1 of the Second Varsity Eight, defeating the Spartans by less than two seconds.

Wisconsin headed into the Grand Final of the First Varsity Four as the favorite after posting the best time in the morning heats. Wisconsin advanced to the Grand Final of the Second Varsity Eight by finishing second in Heat 2. In the closest race of the day, Wisconsin defeated Ohio State by .3 seconds in Heat 2 of the of the First Novice Eight.

Wisconsin was the fastest boat in two heats of the Second Novice Eight.
